A Fencer is simply a warrior specialized in handling of Fencing weapons. These one-handed weapons require a bit of strength, magic ability can be developed to compensate damage weakness and Shield skill to increase chance of avoiding. Main stat is dexterity which will allow to become very agile.
Dual Wielding skill
It makes possible to fight with two weapons. Main weapon will be a Fencing weapon or Short Sword weapon and secondary weapon will be obligatorily a Main Gauche. Two solutions to succeed in dealing a hit with Main Gauche :
- If the normal hit missed, there is a chance to deal a second hit with Main Gauche. Chance of getting this free hit increases with Dual Wielding skill until 2 chances on 3.
- At each series of 4 successful consecutive hits, there is a possibility to deal a hit with Main Gauche.
Main Gauche
It is on sale at Shop and takes the place of shield. It can be only used in conjunction with a Fencing or a Short Sword weapon :
- Damage : 1d6/1d8
- Required : STR 10, DEX 30
- Full Swing : STR 10
- Dual Wielding skill (Max % = DEX*2)
Main Gauche exists in enchanted version but some effects are ineffective :
- Sharp and Ancient influence Main Gauche only.
- Light, Agile, Strong don't have effect.
- Poisoning, Righteous and Critical influence on all attacks in case of main weapon without particular enchantment.
- Poisoning and Critical cumulate effect with main weapon of same type.
Bows and archer
Bows' damage are not more affected by STR. If character's DEX is superior to his STR, damage will be calculated according to a more advantageous formula bases on DEX else basis formula is used (based on STR). A Fencer will be more efficient than a Heavy Warrior (warrior based on STR). All normal bows are usable with 65 STR.
Bows exist in enchanted version and work. Special bows exist via drop or Eggs, all not being reserved to Fencers (or Dextis).
